Opened in 1903 to serve its local community, today the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway attracts visitors from the UK and beyond for a journey through the rolling Mid-Wales landscape that shaped the line.

Our historic collection of locomotives includes The Earl and Countess, built for the line in 1902, and others from around the world that have found a new home here, while our carriages come from Austria, Hungary, Sierra Leone, England and Wales.
