Jimeino

Meino’s music can be described as “sound and style derived from a unique blend of multiple genre’s, cultures and personal or true-to-life experiences.” More affectionately called Captain or BiG 8iGHT, he’s a product of Jamaica’s diverse culture, born in the island’s southern parish of St. Catherine. Captain stays true to his roots while exercising his versatility, hence making it difficult to describe the artist and his music as anything but raw talent personified. The son of a talented former professional musician, Jimeino has been consistent in showing his passion for the arts, working with many prominent individuals in the industry and allegedly declining a major offer in 2023. Since then, the public and his fans have still continued to support the Caribbean native on his rise to fame and is said to be the forerunner of a new wave of musical expression that is gaining traction rapidly.
