The Songaminute Man

Teddy Mac - The Songaminute Man is an 80 year old singer with Alzheimer's Disease who went viral worldwide after singing with his son in the car.

The videos raised over £150,000 in donations for The Alzheimer's Society. Teddy then went on to record a charity single "You Make Me Feel So Young" with The Guy Barker Orchestra. Teddy and Simon were then awarded a Pride of Britain Award.

Teddy went on to record an album - titled #Songaminute - featuring big bang tracks by The Guy Barker Orchestra, released in 2017; and then a second album "Swing on Jupiter and Mars" in 2021.

His son, Simon, went on to write the story "The Songaminute Man" about Ted's life and journey with dementia, published by Harper Collins HQ, republished as "The Songs That Saved Us" in 2025.

A Japanese film, based on Simon and Ted's story and titled "父と僕の終わらない歌 / Unforgettable" is released in May 2025.
