Sysadmin

Welcome to the Sysadmin channel, short for System Administration. This is a channel that teaches you how to a successful SysAdmin. This is a hands-on approach to systems administration mainly focusing on Windows Server based systems, but will also cover basic Linux server installations.

I am your host Steven. I have over 15 years of experience in the IT field starting my professional career path at a large retail chain fixing computers. I have held many roles over that time period, including Field Technician, Server Admin, Network Admin, IS Admin, Database admin, Trainer, IT Manager, and IT Director. I am currently a Director of Information Technology for a mid-sized school district and I have several certifications including MCSE, A+, Network+, Server+ as well as have two technology degrees, Associates of Applied Science in Network Systems administration and Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and IT Management.
