JOURNALISM: An experienced reporter, Melber won a 2016 Emmy Award for Supreme Court coverage. He was also nominated for two “Outstanding Live Interview" Emmys (2020, 2024). He is MS NOW Chief Legal Correspondent and host of "The Beat with Ari Melber," airing weeknights live at 6pm ET.

LAW: Melber practiced First Amendment law and he is a member of the New York Bar (JD, Cornell Law School)

MUSIC: Melber has hosted an Apple Music show and routinely covers music, lyrics, culture and its wider impact. He has interviewed artists like Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Lil Baby, David Byrne, Phoebe Bridgers & Willie Nelson. He's been cited in several hip hop songs. (Dave East: "On MSNBC I got Ari with me...") Jay-Z released Melber’s 11-minute lyric breakdown of a 2022 song verse as its own Jay-Z track, “HOV DID,” on streaming platforms -- a first in music history.
