Description
I recently had the distinct privilege of attending one of the most amazing cultural events that I've ever witnessed during my four years living here in Taiwan. This was the Tainan Arts Festival's opening performance. It was roughly a two hour show, which incorporated so much of what I love about living here in Taiwan. Access to a living history, which we can see all around us. Dragon dances the likes of which I've never seen before. Acrobatics, dramatic lighting, and makeup normally reserved for a Broadway Show. Everything about this night was magical, and I was lucky enough to not only be invited to attend, but also to film my experience as a witness to this event.
